Don't worry, I don't destroy very valuable books, but only ones that are already in rough shape and/or are headed toward the land fill. I love books!
Most of my wall-hanging pieces require a simple nail, which I include along with basic instructions for hanging.
Many of the colors in the materials have already faded with age. As long as you do not hang or display the piece in a spot that receives a lot of bright direct daylight, the colors should remain stable.
